In 2007, the managing partners of Maurer Söhne GmbH & Co. KG, Hans and Peter Beutler, and Ursula Grill, set up the charitable foundation called Stiftung Maurer Söhne, which is based in Munich.

The aim of this foundation is to promote research and science, in particular basic research into dynamics in the field of structural engineering. Numerous students and doctoral candidates have already been supported through this programme at universities.
